The Upper West Side looks set to get its new tallest neighborhood building.

The castle-like First Battery Armory, more than a century old, is an UWS example of adaptive reuse.

The apartment is located within the Extell Development Tower at 50 West 66th Street.

The new building will be on West 66th Street, between Columbus and Central Park West.

"I’ve noticed the windows in my apartment get covered in soot and also the cars on the street," one nearby resident of the project told the Rag.

"I'm not interested in a fight," Gary Barnett, the founder and chairman of Extell Development, told CB7 on Wednesday.
