    Less than 24 hours after being charged, PS 84 teacher’s aide Hany Abdalla had sex abuse charges against him dropped after teachers and students at the school came forward to say the charges weren’t true, his lawyer said. (DNAinfo)

    Tim League, the owner of the Alamo Drafthouse, which plans to open a cineplex on the Upper West Side next year, is famously strict about cellphones in theaters, as we’ve noted. In response to a recent trend of texting-friendly theaters he said: “Over my dead body will I be introducing texting into movie theaters…. That’s a scourge of the industry.
