The ebike shown here is following the rules of the road. Many DO NOT, making it not safe for pedestrians.

E vehicles are much heavier, faster and brake more slowly than bicycles. They have NO place in our parks.
Parks are for recreation, not transportation!
Marilyn Levin just got home from 3 month in rehab after being hit from behind by e bike that fled in centrsl
Park. Knocked unconscious, broke right leg in 5 places. She is one of many! Dogs have been KILLED
Stop the madness! Pass Intro 0060 prohibiting e vehicles from our parks.

“brake more slowly than bicycles”

Do you have any evidence supporting this? As a bicycle mechanic, I can tell you this is incorrect.

Possibly means that the braking distance is longer because of higher speed.

Even if banning e-bikes in parks was a good idea (it is not) it would be impossible to enforce since many modern e-bikes look identical to regular bikes. Build protected bike lanes instead and save the money on ineffectual enforcement.
