Alert: Sunny Weather Expected To Slam NYC This Weekend; Prepare Accordingly

Hello sunshine, by Kevin Shultis.

By Gus Saltonstall

Don’t cancel plans. We repeat, don’t cancel plans.

New York City is expected to be bombarded with soothing sunshine this weekend, following a period of 11 straight days of cloudy skies.

Saturday’s forecast is a high of 42 degrees and a low of 30 degrees, but completely sunny. Sunday is much the same: sunshine with no signs of overcast skies and a high of 44 degrees.

In fact, the sunshine is expected to last through Wednesday, when the forecast changes to “mostly sunny.”

The upcoming soaking of sunshine is a particularly happy sight given the nearly two straight weeks of cloudy weather, including another rain storm on Friday.

To reemphasize, there is not a travel advisory for the weekend, the city is not under a flood watch, and there is not a foreboding forecast from the National Weather Service that gives an incredibly small chance of a tornado making its way through Manhattan.

To make matters better, Staten Island Chuck the groundhog, also predicted an early spring on Friday.

Enjoy the weekend.

Can you please post a photo of said supposed sun, so one can identify the object in the sky upon appearance? It’s been too long to expect one to recall what it looks like! Thank you! 🙂

What a witty weather report. This Upper Westsider is here in Florida pining for some of the good old, exhaust-infused clouds of precipitation!
