60th street traffic

A Community Board 7 committee will review potential changes to traffic and sidewalks in the lower West 60’s at a meeting Tuesday night. The city hasn’t released many details yet of the plan, but should do so at the meeting, which starts at 7 at 250 West 87th street.

The traffic pattern which was already instituted on Broadway, directing traffic onto Columbus ave instead of continuing onward down Broadway, has had enormous negative repercussions.
The traffic now on Central Park West is bumper to bumper with cars going through the walk signs and honking non stop.
It has become very dangerous to cross street on CPW below 68 Street.
