It’s the second annual love your street tree day on the Upper West Side this Sunday, and the West 80’s Neighborhood Association is looking for volunteers to help out:
We hope you can join us on Sunday, May 22 at noon for our Second Annual “Love Your Street Tree Day” community tree care, neighborhood cleanup, and beautification day! This year, we kick off the UWS community event at Urban Assembly School for Green Careers’ beautiful garden on Amsterdam Avenue at W. 84thStreet.
There will be street tree bed care demonstrations by Trees NY and Goddard Greenkeepers, a worm bin composting demonstration by LES Ecology Center, coffee and snacks provided by Irving Coffee and Jacobs Pickles, and opportunities to meet fellow New Yorkers who also care about our urban trees and the environment.
