Discover What’s Happening at the JCC this Fall

Fall on the Upper West Side has a way of making people want to start something new. A new class. A new routine. A new way to get moving. A new activity for the kids. Or maybe just a reason to finally walk into that building you’ve passed a hundred times and see what’s actually happening inside.

That’s the idea behind the Fall Discovery Fair at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan, an interactive open house taking place from 3 to 7 pm and designed to help Upper West Siders discover the enormous range of programs, classes, activities, and communities available at the JCC.

Whether you’re already part of the JCC community or visiting for the first time, the fair offers a chance to explore the building, meet instructors and staff, try out activities, and find something that might become part of your fall routine.

Throughout the afternoon, visitors can discover programs spanning fitness, studio arts, Jewish life, children and families, and modern aging. Live demonstrations will happen every hour, along with mini classes, hands-on experiences, sweet treats, giveaways, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions and learn more.

Want to move a little? Try a stretch-and-balance, sit-to-stand, or Move Together fitness moment. Curious about Jewish life as Rosh Hashanah approaches? Stop by one of several Ask the Rabbi sessions. Families can discover children’s programming, creative types can explore Studio Arts, and older adults can learn more about the JCC’s Modern Aging offerings.

And because fall and Rosh Hashanah deserve something sweet, there will be a special apple cake tasting at 4:30 pm.

For those who have always wondered what’s behind all those JCC doors, guided group building tours will take place at 3:30 pm and 6:15 pm, offering a closer look at the spaces and programs throughout the building. On-demand personalized tours will be offered throughout.

Guests can also discover special promotions on personal training, massage, and JCC membership.

So bring a friend, follow your curiosity, and see what you might discover this fall.

Pre-registration is strongly recommended, and walk-ins are welcome.
