Bill and Hillary Clinton Dine at Upper West Side Restaurant

It is not every day that a former President of the United States dines at an Upper West Side restaurant, but that is what happened earlier this month.

Bill and Hillary Clinton grabbed dinner at Verdello NYC, which is located at 994 Columbus Avenue, near the corner of West 109th Street.

“We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton for dinner,” Ari, a manager at Verdello’s, who did not provide a last name, wrote to West Side Rag in an email on Tuesday. “They were gracious, warm, and a pleasure to host. It was an exciting evening for our staff and guests, and a proud moment for our restaurant.”

“As a neighborhood establishment, it means a great deal to be chosen by such notable visitors, and we wanted to share this special occasion with the community,” Ari added.

Verdello is an Italian restaurant that specializes in cuisine from the southern portion of the country and serves up wood-fired pizza, pastas, and more.

After a little bit of online digging, it appears that Hillary Clinton, the former Secretary of State, New York Senator, and First Lady of the United States, was in the city to attend the 24th Annual Vital Voices Global Leadership Awards in Tribeca on April 23rd.

This might be a more impressive claim were there a crime named “collusion” and were this not such a right-wing straw man. Inconveniently, that leaves conspiracy, coordination, and obstruction of justice, and you should feel free to read, among other things, the Mueller Report (https://www.justice.gov/archives/sco/file/1373816/dl?inline=) to learn how djt & gang were neck-deep in them a decade ago. (Matters have only deteriorated since then.)
But let’s close our eyes, hold our breath, rub our tummies and pretend there was no conspiracy, no coordination, and no obstruction of justice, but only the well-established, pervasive Russian election interference. That leaves at least one excellent question: WHY was/is Putin — who is not our friend, or at least not mine — so very supportive of a djt presidency? Something to ponder, no?

Does she talk about Haiti and the Clinton foundation? Where did the money go? I remember the media not showing the Haitian protestors when she at Barnes and Noble on 45th st.

Always great to see them. They could have gone to some fancy place in Tribeca. Yes, she was right about everything. Her election loss … the biggest disappointment of my entire life. And we’re living it every single day, often three times a day with one outrage after another, too many to count.

Yep, just imagine how many illegal wars (oops, “special military operations”) SHE would have started! No doubt the missiles would have been headed for Moscow on Day One.

Instead, everything’s absolutely peachy.

Maybe you’d prefer walking down 5th avenue. Apparently your President stated he could shoot someone in the face there and they would still love him. Your type of guy, eh?

Boll Clinton’s policies as President would be considered very far right today. He did three strikes, ended finding for public housing projects, implemented workfare- end of welfare as we know it, supported deportations, gave a speech at state of the union about immigration that is to the right of Trump . He gave NYC finding to hire thousands of cops. I could go on. Amazing what people forget.

I don’t get the point of this article.
Famous people are a dime a dozen in this neighborhood.
Do we really need to get excited about them eating at restaurant here?
Are we in Dubuque?
