In my hunble opinion color would be better
I disagree — and I’m never humble.
Different opinions, different life styles, that’s what makes life interesting.
Great photos — I used to take photos, with a camera, using film. Developed and made prints myself. Very satisfying.
You just had to include a picture with a guy walking a dog.
More dogs, more dogs! Dogs make people (most people?) happy, they are great. Cats too (my motto – one of them, at any rate – is “everything is better with a cat”), but people don’t walk their cats around town much.
We get it, Jane. You hate dogs.
Only one? Didn’t you notice that dogs are the new humans? They enjoy a higher status than most people now.
And they deserve it! They’re much more loving, less judgmental than we are.
Yes, Yes!
Until they attack you out of nowhere and tear your face off. I’ve never heard of a cat killing or mauling its owner.
Because that happens all the time. What a joke.
Oh, come on. Dogs make people happy. Dog walkers keep the streets safe.
Safe until you trip over a leash. At least Jan gets it.
Is that a serious comment? I never knew that tripping over dog leashes was such a hazard on NYC streets. Be careful out there folks!
It’s so true. It’s like humans are completely irrelevant now.
If you keep up with the news, maybe we should be. We’re seeing the most disgraceful part of humans these days, sadly.
That’s true, but it goes far beyond dogs, unfortunately. The state of our country is a much bigger problem than whether people do or don’t like dogs.
Is that the same guy in the first two photos?
I especially love the photo at the bus stop . The best example of how we are so much in our own world and surrounded by humanity at the same time. The only shot of people who seem to be together is the 2 guys selling stuff at 325 Columbus.
Please get rid of all the scaffolding on the UWS.
I’ve traveled the world and have spent time in many international cities. NYC is the only one where I have seen the gross proliferation of these disgusting eyesores. Get rid of the scaffolding!
I can’t explain it, but decades from now, folks looking at these images will feel the same way I do when looking at the real black and white photos from decades ago. Like, wow, so that’s what life looked like back then. These images look familiar, though decades from now, younger folks looking at these will wonder what life was like in 2025.
Love b/w photos. For many years I used my SLR camera to produce photos I then developed and printed in my makeshift home studio. No space in my current abode. I’d really appreciate some identifying captions.
Thanks for shooting [sic] and posting.
I just realized I essentially repeated an earlier comment about b/w photos. You can disregard.
Great pics…. Enjoyed seeing them!
Great Black and whites David. Especially like the Hotdog guy with the steam and the guy on the rock with his phone while the school bus door is open. Suggestion people: calm down with the dog stuff and enjoy lifes views that you missed in it all. IjS
Lovely photos, thank you!
