Why? What happened in 2024 that was so horrible? Are you UWS people so traumatized by life all the time?

Yes I was, and? I voted for the candidate that lost, ok, disappointed, but I moved on with my life. I do not let politics define my identity all day long. You guys should try.

— “Are you UWS people so traumatized by life all the time?”

If you lived here, you’d understand.

(And a happy and healthy new year to all my UWS neighbors, and to Mr. Martin and all our friends at the Rag!)

Looks like the UWS progressive crowd still needs some serious therapy…

Gary! You and the birds grace our lives with song in our precious parks. Thank you for all your love notes via the Rag this year. Thank you West Side Rag for adding Martoonerville’s voice to your community minded coverage! Love the Joan of Arc cameo in this. For any upper west sider who enjoys the beauty of Riverside Park and Joan of Arc Park, now is a great time to make a contribution to keep their initiatives strong. Here are the links for Joan of Arc and the Riverside Park Conservancy Conservancy. https://riversideparknyc.org/joan-of-arc-statue-committee/. and https://riversideparknyc.org/
To a New Year filled with kindness to each other!

Thank you for all the entertaining, insightful, and humorous moments you have provided us in 2024, Gary Martin. Looking forward to a full year of MARTOONERVILLE cartoons in 2025. (And thanks for the cameo appearance of our neighbor Franz Sigel!)
