At around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, on a 2 train heading north, a 32-year old man and two other “unknown” men got into an argument that turned physical when the three exited the train at West 72nd Street and Broadway, according to a police report.
“The [two] individuals kicked and punched the victim numerous times about the body and pushed the victim onto the train tracks,” the report said. “They then fled the location to parts unknown.” The victim was taken by EMS to Mount Sinai West hospital, with a broken nose and right middle finger.
Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the alleged assailants. One is described as having “a medium complexion and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a red jacket and black pants.” The other also has a medium build, and was last seen wearing all black.

You would think, with today’s technology, NYPD would be able to provide a much better photo for folks to see; I hope they find the culprits!
Who took these photos? I thought we had surveillance cameras on our platforms? Is this the best we can do?
MTA spent millions of $$$ to install surveillance system in subway, and still no quality pics. On some stations the system does not work at all, as we all saw during the shooting on the train in Bklyn. I think many countries in the word have better face recognition and surveillance technology for years. I don’t really understand why we are so much behind.
Is the photo quality the main concern here? Subway being unsafe is the real problem, photos or not. Nothing has been done despite assurances from our mayor and the rest of administration.
I assume you won’t be satisfied until there is 0 crime. Please let me know when that happens.
I’m not sure what your snarky comment is supposed to mean and why you think we shouldn’t strive towards reducing crime.
It’s supposed to mean that even when crime goes down, there is still crime.
I can’t understand people who normalize crime.
I think these are grainy photos of big foot
