The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is looking for the man pictured above in connection with two incidents of sexual abuse occurring steps and minutes apart on April 30th, around 9 p.m., near West 78th Street.

At approximately 9:04 p.m., a man approached a 49-year-old women from behind in front of 378 West End Avenue and, allegedly, “touched her private area before fleeing,” police said. At 9:10 p.m., the man “approached a 43-year-old woman in the vicinity of West 78th Street and Broadway, again from behind, grabbed her around the neck, and touched [her] private area” before fleeing onto the uptown platform of the 79th Street subway station. Neither woman was physically injured.

The suspect is described as having “a light complexion.” He was last seen wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, a dark-colored jacket with a red-and-white stripe, blue shirt, and dark-colored pants. The photograph was taken in the 79th Street subway station.

Anyone with information in regard to these incidents is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website athttps://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/, on Twitter @NYPDTips.

Please politely ask the City Council Gale Brewer to request more police at West 79th Street Station.

We have a lot of children using that subway for school transportation.

Also, there is a constant group of homeless Hispanic ( very intoxicated on alcohol and drugs) in the north median of W. 79th and Broadway who are inappropriate in regards to young women.

Please call and request more police.
Woman should not be subjected to abuse.
