My black cat Hiro is just that…my Hiro and a beautiful gentle Healer. After spending 4 months recuperating from 3 broken ankle bones without a feline to snuggle up to I found Hiro and adopted him despite being named Satan by his foster folks.
Lesson to be learned. Our black felines are the best furry felines and have gotten a very. bad rap despite their magnificent, loving personalities!

Agreed! My husband asked if we could rescue a kitten, born in a horse carriage barn. It was one of the best things we’ve done – Freyja is an utter delight! we did – Vader is a giant mush. He falls over against your leg as he falls asleep.
I can’t resist replying. I’ve rescued 6 cats in 45 years. All of them had white bellies except for my black cat. It was a joy to have her around. I could actually keep my clothes right side out in the walk in closet. She could rub my slacks as often as she wanted. Another perk is that she would lay in my arms like a baby for hours. I do miss her as well as the others.

My black cat Magic, aged 21, passed over the rainbow bridge over10 years ago. I still miss him, but my Siamese-Manx mix Sasha comforts me.
