Earlier this Spring, SK Development, CB Developers and Brooklyn Standard Properties commenced closings at Parker West, a boutique condominium building located at 214 West 72nd Street, in the heart of New York City on the Upper West Side. Now 90% sold, the final remaining available homes at Parker West are the two new-to-market three bedroom duplexes with views of the Hudson River and city skyline from $5,450,000. Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is the exclusive marketing and sales agent for the building. Award-winning design firm, GRADE, led by Thomas Hickey and Edward Yedid conceptualized the building from the ground up.

“We are thrilled to offer the final duplex homes which enjoy river views and open plans,” says Scott Shnay, Principal of SK Development. “We worked with GRADE, an incredible design firm, who understood our vision and made it come to life. We believe in New York, and we’re proud to be in such a prime location and quintessential New York neighborhood, moments away from both Central Park and Riverside Park, as well as culture and entertainment.”

With gracious views of the city skyline and sprawling multilevel layouts, luxury is abundant throughout the penthouses at Parker West. Designed for discretion, the duplex penthouses are accessible via direct elevator entry. The 2,600 square foot duplexes span their whole floors, and are designed to accommodate every need, such as an intimate breakfast room off the kitchen, and a glamourous windowed dressing room off the primary bedroom. The kitchen boasts custom stained Italian oak cabinetry with oil rubbed bronze hardware, Miele appliances and Alexandra Nuvolato honed marble slab countertops and backsplashes that dramatically continue up to the ceiling in some areas. Master baths include White Volakas honed marble tile floors and wainscot, with off-white penny round wall tile above. Custom white oak vanities and illuminated medicine cabinets, glass enclosed showers, radiant heat flooring and Waterworks fixtures throughout reflecting the supple and detailed nature of the design.

Rare beauty encapsulates Parker West, which consists of only 18 residences – the penthouses being the final two available. The building offers boutique, low-density living. What is not found in the sprawling duplex penthouses can be found in the amenities, which include a stunning roof terrace complete with a gas barbeque, seasonal planters and expansive river and city views. There is a fitness center, bicycle storage, and an outdoor playscape ideal for playdates, as well as a doorman.

The building’s façade consists of limestone panels with a substantially-scaled granite base and exquisite bronze-finished window surrounds. The windows are all oversized and noise-reducing creating quiet sundrenched homes. Interior highlights include direct elevator access into every home with keyless entry, 7” European oak plank floors, and ceiling heights up to 9’5”. The residences include Bosch washer/dryers, roller shades throughout the homes with blackout shades in the bedrooms, and VRV AC systems for efficient climate control.

Situated at the epicenter of Upper West Side living, Parker West is two blocks from both Central Park and Riverside Park (as well as the West 72nd Street dog run). Residents of Parker West can enjoy Lincoln Center and other cultural institutions of the neighborhood only a few blocks to the South, while surrounded by legendary restaurants, gourmet markets and renowned shopping. The location is made all the more convenient with immediate proximity to express and local subway lines.

Parker west is 90% sold, and the final duplex penthouses are move-in ready. For more information or to arrange a private viewing of the Penthouse model residence, please contact Shelley O’Keefe, Senior Sales Director, at 212-362-7272, email info@parkerwest.com or visit www.parkerwest.com.
