Taste of the Upper West Side is the 14th annual neighborhood food event and fundraiser, hosted by the Columbus Avenue Business Improvement District (BID). Held under a tent in the schoolyard on Columbus Avenue between 76th and 77th Streets, it takes place this year on Friday, September 30, and Saturday, October 1, and will feature 32 restaurants each evening, including several new places that are planning to open soon. All proceeds go toward improvements to the neighborhood.

Don Evans, organizer of the event said “I’m hoping West Siders come out in force to support these 64 restaurants over the two-day festival. These chefs/restaurant owners have gone through hell the past two-and-a-half years to still stay open. With the new restaurants that have opened this past year, we have become one of strongest restaurant communities in the city.”

For those of you who don’t win, you can still support the Columbus Avenue BID and buy tickets here.

Our primary goal is to create a safe and respectful space where a broad spectrum of voices can be heard. We welcome diverse viewpoints and encourage readers to engage critically with one another’s ideas, but never at the expense of civility. Disagreement is expected—even encouraged—but it must be expressed with care and consideration. Comments that take cheap shots, escalate conflict, or veer into ideological warfare detract from the constructive spirit we aim to cultivate.
