With flu season approaching and the newly authorized COVID-19 booster now available, the CDC has published an online site for finding a vaccine provider near you.
The site is easy to use; just enter your zip code and the type of vaccine you’re looking for, either Moderna, Pfizer, Novavax, or Johnson & Johnson. The pharmacies in your area will be listed, together with the contact information for making an appointment, as well as which vaccines they have in stock.
The site also provides a locator for your annual flu vaccine, which they recommend getting in September or October.
Update: Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine provided a NYC Vaccine Finder in a release today. Enter your address or zip code to find a site for the Covid-19 vaccine, booster, flu vaccine, and Monkeypox vaccine.
Already got my appointment with Walgreens next week on 8th Ave and 50th. Their website is really good.
This is very helpful, thank you
Senior 84 years old requesting booster shots for Covid (Pfizer) and Flu. Am in good health. Last Covid shot was Sept 2022 . Home Location: Columbus Avenue/95th Street.
Eleanor, did you mean that your last covid shot was in September 2021? You wrote 2022 but that would be too soon to get a booster.
The Pfizer booster is available near you at
Walgreens Co. #14202 (Duane Reade)
700 Columbus Ave, New York, NY 10025
Appointments available
Able to vaccinate ages 12+
And also at Ivan Pharmacy at 691 Columbus
That Duane Reade also has the flu shot for seniors. The CVS inside Target and the CVS at 96th Amsterdam also have it. Hope this information helps.
Website badly designed. After you fill in your age and the date and kind of your last vaccine, you are presented with choices that are addresses only, and not the name of the pharmacy or whatever. Makes it difficult to choose.
Such helpful information! Thanks, WSR!
