Exactly. He would have to spend 45 minutes at a police station.

This comment by William Pearlman is a cheap shot against DA Bragg, and is spreading falsehoods. This guy will be charged with a stabbing. Do you have any evidence that Bragg has not prosecuted people accused of violent crimes with deadly weapons? Of course you don’t. But that doesn’t stop you from cavalierly making insinuations.

Reply to  Bruce E,

NOT a cheap shot. No bail. Democrat “inclusive” must recognize these criminals need help. Ridiculous. Bragg is just letting them out in 45 minutes. No bail. We must “include the financially compromised. “

Reply to  Bruce E,

Bruce, Bruce, please pay attention. Yes, we all have evidence that DA Bragg declined to prosecute a person who assaulted someone with a deadly weapon. May I draw your attention to the woman who pulled a knife on the bodega worker, Jose Alba? She stabbed him 3 times while her thug of a boyfriend attacked Alba. Alba merely acted in self-defense, yet *he* – an innocent worker – ended up in Rikers charged with a crime. Only due to overwhelming public outcry did Bragg agree to release him.

Reply to  Bruce E,

I’ll try again – WSR – will you let me post a reply or are you picking and choosing replies you like?

Bruce, I’ll give you an example that I KNOW of first – hand. A restaurant owner was assaulted by an agressive panhandler that would not leave his door. He got a restraining order against the panhandler. When the panhandler showed up again at his restaurant defying the restraining order, , he called the police. The police found that the panhandler had a bench warrant out on him for FIRST DEGREE ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON. The panhandler was out with no bail and a desk appearance and did not show up. He was able to assault the restaurant owner.

Assault with a deadly weapon and no bail.

I could go on about others. It happens and if you would only care about your neighbors as much as you do about criminals, that would be nice.

Bruce, Alvin Bragg has shown himself to be a soft on crime DA that is hurting this city. What has he done that would cause you to defend him? I think I know why you choose to, but will leave my thoughts to myself. He has to go the way of Chesa Boudin.

The victim’s suffering and the victim’s future are swept aside, as society focuses primarily on the perpetrator and, of course, the perp’s family, who frequently say he’s such a nice guy. Sometimes they say he’s troubled, which often helps with sympathy FOR THE PERP.
