“Lol! So many upper westsiders have seen this running track but don’t know its name,” wrote the finder of the watch. “I don’t even know its official NYC Parks name. It’s hard to describe the location so I’ve attached two images to help.”
He’s a very motivated finder.
(It’s in Riverside Park.)
If the watch is yours, contact westsiderag@gmail.com and we’ll connect you with the finder.
Good luck!
I’ve always heard it referred to as the Cinder Track at 73rd st
The small track by the river /near the Classic playground/with the bathrooms/down the hill/stairs by the dog park past the Eleanor Roosevelt entrance…with the picnic table/.where the little kids do soccer…ha ha “Cinder track at 73rd” sounds so much clearer!.
It’s called the “73rd Street Running Track”. My team does track workouts there every Tuesday. It’s a City cinder track in Riverside Park.
I lost a diamond necklace on the Upper West Side last month and would be thrilled if someone found it and could return it to me.
Cindy— I’m so sorry! I think I found your necklace and I wore it to the opera but when I took it off to wash my face during the intermission I must have left it in the ladies’ room and when I went back it was gone, so I don’t know who has it now.
Reallly, or are you joking? Just curious!
Very kind of you to post this – most folks wouldn’t take the trouble.
I hope the watch finds its rightful owner!
