New Custom Apparel Shop Bringing Smiles and Solutions to the UWS

With a name like Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More, this recent addition to the neighborhood could be easily pigeonholed as the kind of print-to-order T-shirt shop you’d expect to see on a boardwalk, not on Broadway. With its no-minimums policy, cheerful staff and colorful atmosphere, this local garment decoration business definitely brings all the fun and gratification of personalized design and gift giving.

Customers work one-on-one with a design expert to perfect their artwork, which often involves family or pet photos, logos, hashtags or other personal branding, and then print it – often within 24 hours or less – on an extensive range of all-season clothing and other items, such as tote bags, dog shirts, puzzles and drink coozies. Fun! Big Frog is even starting to host group “wine and design” parties and children’s birthdays to inspire creativity and bring people together.

However, as the name implies, Big Frog delivers more than just fun. The company provides real solutions for schools, businesses, and other organizations in need of a true partner with the expertise and patience to find the best option for a particular project, be it uniforms, corporate swag or employee/crew gifts. The store offers a range of modern decorating techniques including direct-to-garment (DTG) printing, screen printing, vinyl and heat transfers, as well as custom embroidery, and can handle orders large and small with the same personal attention to detail.

The franchise owners, a married couple who’ve lived in the neighborhood since 2015, stress that every project is unique and requires a personalized touch to arrive at the most cost-effective solution for the customer, and that flawless execution involves an understanding of the client’s needs – not just what they’re willing to spend.

“The online experience expects clients to know exactly what they want and just click their way to the perfect garment, but not everyone has that level of expertise, and what you think you want may not be the best choice for your project,” said store owner Kerry Colley, who left a 25-year career in banking to open Big Frog. “We’ve had a number of individuals and businesses come to us after one of the online companies failed them and being able to help these customers in time to save their project means a lot to us.”

Additionally, school fundraisers and burgeoning designers alike are starting to take advantage of Big Frog’s workable solution for storing artwork digitally and printing items on-demand only when they’re ordered through a customized online store created with and for the customer. No need to invest in an inventory of decorated items, coordinate the orders, or handle transactions – Big Frog manages all off that, as well as the shipping and handling, further reducing the burden on the reseller.

Big Frog is dedicated to cultivating fun, creativity, and community on the Upper West Side, while giving businesses and larger organizations across the city a personal approach to creating high-quality custom garments for any occasion.

If you have a project in mind, stop by Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More today at 2244 Broadway (between 80th and 81st), or you can email uws@bigfrog.com or call (929) 474-6262.
