Rosa Mexicano makes an incredible bowl of guacamole for the food festival.

The neighborhood’s biggest food festival is back this year, with a few changes but the same basic concept — small plates from Upper West Side chefs and booze galore.

Taste of the Upper West Side returns on Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16. The first night will have a “Grillin’ in the City” theme, with restaurants including Cafe Frida, Ostera Cotta and Bareburger focusing on summer BBQ dishes. Tickets are $99 each.

The second night, called “Best of the West”, will feature lots more restaurants, including 8th Hill, RedFarm and Maison Pickle. Tickets are $135, with VIP tickets going for $215.

Now through March 16th, tickets will also be offered at 15% off for general admission and 20% off for VIP by using the promo code EARLYBIRD at check out.

The event will honor local female chefs and business owners. Proceeds go to the Columbus Avenue Business Improvement District, a nonprofit.

You can buy tickets here.

West Side Rag is a media sponsor of the event.

Our primary goal is to create a safe and respectful space where a broad spectrum of voices can be heard. We welcome diverse viewpoints and encourage readers to engage critically with one another’s ideas, but never at the expense of civility. Disagreement is expected—even encouraged—but it must be expressed with care and consideration. Comments that take cheap shots, escalate conflict, or veer into ideological warfare detract from the constructive spirit we aim to cultivate.
