Update: Police Rule Lasker Pool Death a Homicide

A man was found dead with injuries to his head near Lasker Pool in Central Park on Tuesday morning, according to police.

Update, Wednesday morning: Police have ruled the man’s death a homicide, though they have not identified him and a spokesperson had no further details on the crime.

A day care counselor found the man on the upper terrace of the pool, which is located around 106th Street in the park, according to ABC News. The man, who was not identified, was found around 10:40 a.m., according to the Daily News. Police speculated to ABC that he may be homeless. The medical examiner will determine the cause of his death.
