Make Music New York is an annual concert series in locations throughout the city, including on the Upper West Side. The concerts go on from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. and they celebrate the summer solstice.

On the UWS, there are several concerts scheduled. There’s a bluegrass/folk concert in Straus Park at 106th from 6 to 7:30 p.m. There’s a piano concert at Pier 1 near 70th Street from 4:30 to 7. And there are multiple concerts at Tucker Park at 66th Street and Broadway. So go listen and… maybe dance?

See the full map and schedule here.

Please limit comments to 150 words and keep them civil and relevant to the article at hand. Comments are closed after six days. Our primary goal is to create a safe and respectful space where a broad spectrum of voices can be heard. We welcome diverse viewpoints and encourage readers to engage critically with one another’s ideas, but never at the expense of civility. Disagreement is expected—even encouraged—but it must be expressed with care and consideration. Comments that take cheap shots, escalate conflict, or veer into ideological warfare detract from the constructive spirit we aim to cultivate.
