Riverside Park Summer Concert Series Starts Saturday

The 2019 RCTA Summer Sunset Concert Series kicks off this Saturday with a jazz concert by musician Ron McClure. The concerts take place in Riverside Park near 96th Street, just outside the tennis courts there. See the full schedule below and learn more here.

June 22 – Gotham Winds – Classical

June 29  – Debbie Deane – Sophisticated pop/jazz/blues

July 6 – Francisco Roldan – Spanish/World

July 13 – Spud Cannon – New Wave Pop

July 20 – NO CONCERT DUE TO NYC TRIATHLON

July 27 – Jacob Varmus – Jazz

Aug 3 – Leon & The Peoples – Soul/Reggae

Aug 10 – Erin and her Cello – Jazz/Swing/French Pop/Blues & much more

Aug 17 – CCB Reggae All-Stars — Reggae

Aug 24 – Mimi & the Podd Brothers — Jazz/Blues/Standards

These are wonderful concerts in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately, people come to socialize, and talk and shout at one another while the musicians are playing. It is disrespectful to both the musicians and those who actually come to hear the music. I now go elsewhere to hear free concerts.
