Police Look for Suspect in Robbery on 88th Street

Police are looking for a man they say robbed a woman on 88th street after putting an object against her back — presumably a gun or something meant to resemble a gun.

It was reported to the police that on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at approximately 1918 hours, an unidentified individual approached a 30-year-female in front 205 West 88th Street and placed an unknown object to her back before removing her purse. The individual fled location on foot westbound toward Broadway. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

The individual is described as a black man in his thirties, 5’10” tall, 190 lbs, last seen wearing blue letterman jacket and a black hoodie with a grey backpack.

The surveillance video below was obtained from inside a store located at 111 West 110th Street.
