Two people were injured in a crash Monday night in front of the Museum of Natural History on Central Park West near 81st Street.

The driver of the SUV and the cab driver were both taken to Lenox Hill Hospital. The passengers in the cab — including a child — were apparently okay, though police and fire officials did not have details in the immediate aftermath.

Very interested to hear how this happened. I biked by right as the first fire truck arrived and was pretty perplexed how much damage there was, and both cars appeared to be on the side walk partially. There was still some debris from the accident today.
