Police released the photos above and below of a man wanted for questioning in an attack on a Brazilian tourist near Columbus Circle this past Sunday.
It has been reported to police that on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at approximately 1320 hours, an individual approached the 23 year-old male as he was taking a photo between Broadway and Central Park West on 60th Street and displayed a sharp object which he used to stab the victim one time in his back. EMS responded and transported the victim to Cornell Hospital in stable condition. The person of interest is described as follows:
Male, white, approximately 6’0″, blond hair, wearing a dark green long sleeve sweater, dark green pants, a dark colored backpack, and a baseball hat.

Seriously, what is the point of having all these security cameras, if they can’t capture an image that isn’t blurry?
I’m a lefty but when it comes to crimes like this I believe no trial or justice .. They should be stabbed as they do unto others . Remove them from society immediately and I don’t mean incarceration

I’ll be a little less subtle than Sarah was. It seems like almost every time a Black or Hispanic suspect is pictured on WSR, the “usual gang” of commenters — really, a very few — post demeaning comments about an entire race or ethnic group, often using racist code words like “the animals.”

I’m a right-winger and I believe that all criminal suspects deserve full due process and should be treated with dignity throughout the justice process.
