FEDS MAKE MAJOR FENTANYL BUST ON CENTRAL PARK WEST; UBER DRIVER AMONG FOUR ARRESTED

Federal agents and local officers made a large drug bust on Central Park West on Friday, confiscating nearly 20 pounds of fentanyl and heroin and arresting four people, according to a release from the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor.

One of the defendants, David Rodriguez, was arrested after leaving 448 Central Park West at 105th Street on Friday afternoon and getting into an Uber. Richard Rodriguez, the Uber driver, was also arrested. Agents said they found a suspected mix of fentanyl and heroin in the car.

They also arrested two other people — Jesus Perez-Cabral and Johnny Beltrez — after they left 448 Central Park West on Friday. They say they searched an apartment in the building and found three kilograms of the suspected fentanyl-heroin mix in Ziploc bags “as well as 1,100 individual dose glassine envelopes that had been filled with powder and stamped with the brand name ‘UBER.'” They also recovered a gun and other supplies they suspect were used in the drug operation.

The powder will be submitted to the DEA lab for identification.

Fentanyl overdoses are a growing problem in New York.

“A dangerously strong synthetic opioid, fentanyl is approximately 50 times stronger than heroin and is increasingly found mixed into the illicit narcotics supply in New York City. According to the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, fentanyl is driving a spike in fatal overdoses, which reached an all-time high of 1,374 deaths in New York City in 2016 – a 46% increase over 2015.”

I can guarantee you that in several places of this drug smuggling ring a large number of white, very rich, red-blooded, flag waving, passport-carrying US citizens are involved.

“in several places”? what does that mean, customers? Here is what the article SAYS: “David Rodriguez, Richard Rodriguez, Jesus Perez-Cabral, Johnny Beltrez”. we don’t need your LIBERAL THEORIES.

That’s not a theory. Nor liberal. It involves people with up-front money investors, middlemen with transport connections, law enforcement pay-offs. And yes, ultimately “David Rodriguez, Richard Rodriguez, Jesus Perez-Cabral, Johnny Beltrez” are doing the delivery work. They do this whether you need my ‘liberal theories’ or not.

“law enforcement payoffs”? You’ve been watching too many 80’s movies. You’re guessing that there are “white players”, but why can’t everyone behind the scenes also be Hispanic? In fact, I would say MOST LIKELY they are Hispanic. Hmmm?

… and we don’t need your racist invective.

you never fail.

i wonder how you would feel if, after the Bernie Madoff scandal, someone kept writing in harping on Madoff being Jewish? Or the same with Son of Sam?

we would recognize that as anti-semitism, and reject it as sickening.

but you never fail to try to implicate Blacks and Hispanics as the source of all crime.

at long last, have you no decency?

Jewish criminality does indeed foster anti-semitism in part, but I would not decry it at all. Madoff should rot. The Rosenbergs deserved to be executed, as did Jonathan Pollard (I’m the only Jew who you will hear say that). I only implicate those who do the violent crimes in the neighborhood I live in such as assault, rape, murder, theft. Drug dealing too. It JUST SO HAPPENS that I do not see any Asians, Europeans, white Americans, etc., actually committing these crimes in my neighborhood, it ALWAYS seems to be blacks and hispanics. According to your logic, I AM RACIST for stating REALITY. Aren’t you late for a Marxist meeting with DeBlasio?

For some people, it’s only bigotry when it’s directed at another group.

Why does that matter?

It matters because citizens want to know how much crime is done by illegals from Mexico and South America of the “deported numerous times” variety, a la the murderer of Kate Steinle. See, illegals are NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE. They are not “undocumented”, they are HERE ILLEGALLY.

so what if it turns out that very little crime is done by undocumented? would you be any less rabid?

I work in one of the densest immigrant/undocumented neighborhoods in NY and the US, Elmhurst / Jackson Heights Queens. i frequently work late at night. it is very very safe.

I wonder how you explain that?

UWSHebrew – Do you misrepresent the positions of others intentionally or do you simply not understand what others actually say?

Why should our country — or any country for that matter — have to deal with more crime from people who are not citizens of the country? Don’t we have enough crime to deal with from citizens? Why are liberals constantly bending over backwards to accept crime from illegals?

Bruce – I can explain that!
You don’t live in fear.
The Right are constantly fearful and suspicious. Facts don’t matter to them so they base everything on their feelings and not on evidence-based reality.
