The phenomenon known as Manhattanhenge was supposed to happen on Monday and Tuesday, but cloudy weather ruined the occasion.
Still, the sunset on Thursday basically did the same trick, even if the nerds who track the phenomenon would never certify it as a “real” Manhattanhenge. Guy Mascioli took the photo above at 79th Street looking West. And we’re gonna call it Manhattanhenge.
Take that, nerds.
The next “real” Manhattanhenge comes around on July 12. Here are all the dates this year.
Fake news. Sad. So covfefe.
