I don’t understand why he was still standing there long enough for someone to take this pic. Do people just move away and not otherwise react to something like this? No one reacted in a way that he would have tried to get away? Was there ever a time in NYC when the police regularly rode the subways?

I cant remember the last time I saw a uniformed cop on the train. Only time I see cops in the subway is after an incident somewhere in the world, then you see the cops with the ak-47s,body armor and the german shepherds the next day, only in major hubs (you wont see them in the 79th,86th or 103 st station, etc.)…all for show

Why would you need cops in the subway? According to Bill de Blasio, there is no almost no crime at all.
