Is there a reason her name hasn’t been released?

P.S. If anyone wants to help in any way, there is a FB page set up by her friends. Her mom flew into the City from Kentucky, hired a PI, etc. Again, not posting her name out of respect for WSR’s boundaries, but you can find it easily or can email me. (This screen name @ Gmail)

I don’t think it’s my place to post her name, but as of last night, other news media agencies released it. (See WABC, NYDN, etc.)

Not sure why it wasn’t included here but her name was released and there’s a Facebook page with updates: https://www.facebook.com/finding.nayla

According to the news reports, she cancelled all her financial and social accounts and phone. Like she was really preparing to stop living. Poor girl. This is heartbreaking.

“Police sources said that all signs of Nayla have halted. Her Facebook has been deactivated, credit cards cancelled, and her cell phone has been shut off.

There is no way to know if Nayla disconnected these herself, or is someone else played a role.”

Judging from the FB messages this young woman worked very hard to accomplish her goals and she had a bright future ahead of her. Deactivating FB I can understand, but cutting off phones and credit cards doesn’t seem like something a 19 year old would do. Here’s hoping that she’s back with her family soon.
