Happy Valentine’s Day!
“According to the National Weather Service, temperatures in Central Park were recorded at -1 at 6:57 a.m. Sunday, which broke a previous record of 2 above in 1994. The temperature also broke a record of the coldest Valentine’s Day in New York City, previously recorded as 2 degrees in 1916.
The coldest temperature ever recorded in Central Park was a bone-chilling -15 degrees on Feb. 9, 1934.”
How does a temperature of -1 break the record of -2? I guess maybe if you start at -3.
Most likely a typo. The old record was +2°F
My thoughts exactly. -1 cannot break a previous record of -2. Perhaps you read that wrong. Or you wrote that wrong. At any rate, it’s freaking cold!
