Rutgers Church is hosting a staged reading of A Christmas Carol on Saturday to raise money for refugees. Think about it: you can watch Ebenezer Scrooge come to terms with his own failings while feeling better than him because you gave to people in need. Win win.
Rutgers Church plans to sponsor a refugee family.
A Christmas Carol
At Rutgers Church
73rd and Broadway, 5th floor
Saturday, 12/12 at 7 pm (only lasts 45 minutes!)
$15 suggested donation but give what you can
No one ever felt better than Scrooge did, when he woke up and realized it was a dream.
Better they should give the money to all the homeless (local refugees) camped out all over Broadway.
Rutgers gives plenty of money to homeless causes and host a weekend homeless shelter in their church building each weekend.
No donations from me since this church flies a gay pride flag, but not an American flag.
