’50 SHADES OF GREY’ STAR FILMING NEW MOVIE AT BOOK CULTURE

how to be single

50 Shades of Grey heroine Dakota Johnson is starring in a movie set to come out next year called How to be Single and they’re shooting this week at Book Culture on the Upper West Side. Emily Baer, who took these photos, says that the window decorations at the store on Columbus and 82nd street had a Christmas theme, and the windows were made to look “frosty.” The store is closed today for the shoot.

IMDB describes the movie like this: “A woman writing a book about bachelorettes finds herself mixed up in an international affair while doing research abroad.”

But other reports make it sound more like a romantic comedy:

“The film is an ensemble comedy, said to be similar in style to other projects with multiple, intersecting storylines like He’s Just Not That Into You and Valentine’s Day. The story focuses on singlehood from both the female and male perspectives and suggests it is not our relationships but our single times in between that define us. Topics of single life that will be explored include blind-dating, when to get married, casual sex and fear of commitment.”

I presume that someone named Dakota will take the coyote sighting perfectly in stride.
