ONE INJURY REPORTED IN 4 A.M. FIRE ON 73RD STREET

An apartment fire in a third-floor apartment at 254 West 73rd street brought out a massive response from FDNY on Saturday morning around 4 a.m. It appears to have resulted in one injury, according to a wire service called Fire Wire that tracks fire responses in New York. Matthew Hemingway sent the photos and videos above and below of the response.

FDNY’s official twitter account reported at 4:47 a.m. that the fire was under control .

We are waiting on official word about injuries from FDNY. No word yet on the cause.

This block had a brownstone fire a few years ago and the entire building was being redone. I wonder if it’s the same building…
