IN-HOME CARE AT YOUR FINGERTIPS (SPONSORED)

Can the logistics of in-home care be streamlined with technology? Manhattan-based Hakuna aims to simplify organizational tasks such as scheduling, communication, and recording care details.

Co-founders Kevin Liu and Greg Ainsworth began building a solution after experiencing a gap in quality and responsiveness when managing care for their own family members. Better coordination allows Hakuna’s team of care managers and personally-vetted home health aides to address the needs of a generation that seeks a more personalized experience.

WSRphoto2Increasingly, families face the challenge of taking care of loved ones while maintaining careers or organizing care from out-of-town. For older adults who can stay at home, in-home care is more comfortable and cost-effective than assisted living and nursing home facilities; however, managing the details can be stressful.

Hakuna (named after the Swahili motto, “It means no worries”) employs experienced home health aides to help with tasks such as meal preparation, tidying, medication reminders, bathing and grooming, and getting around town. The company focuses on providing services that are responsive, compassionate, and transparent.

To contact the Hakuna team, call (929) 500-1280 or visit www.hakunahealth.com.

Our primary goal is to create a safe and respectful space where a broad spectrum of voices can be heard. We welcome diverse viewpoints and encourage readers to engage critically with one another’s ideas, but never at the expense of civility. Disagreement is expected—even encouraged—but it must be expressed with care and consideration. Comments that take cheap shots, escalate conflict, or veer into ideological warfare detract from the constructive spirit we aim to cultivate.
