DEVELOPER PLANS NEW APARTMENT BUILDING ON CHURCH PROPERTY

    952 columbus

A developer has filed plans to build a seven-story building on the corner of 107th street and Columbus Avenue, where there is now a short building owned by the Pentecostal Church of God Emmanuel, according to New York YIMBY.

Great Neck-based Borough Equities, plans to erect a seven-story building at the site at 952 Columbus Avenue, with a church occupying the ground floor and cellar.

“Above that will sit 15 apartments spread over more than 17,000 square feet of space, for an average unit size of around 1,150 square feet – which, in this market, likely means condos. The second floor will have four units, with the number of apartments per floor gradually decreasing until culminating in a full-floor penthouse on the seventh floor.”

City records indicate the property is still owned by the church.
