1 TRAIN WON’T RUN NORTH OF 96TH STREET AFTER 10 P.M. NEXT WEEK

The MTA is working on the track for the 1 train next week, and will be shutting the line down North of 96th street up to Dyckman Street after 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. from Monday, March 24 until Friday, March 28 (it will run late at night again starting on Friday night). The 1 train will run normally during the day.

No 1 line icon trains between Dyckman St and 96 St

FASTRACK begins weeknights at 10 PM and ends 5 AM the next morning. This service change will run from Mar 24 to Mar 28 nightly, ending Friday morning. Read on for more information.

How will trains operate?

1 line icon service operates in two sections as follows:

1. Between 242 St and Dyckman St.
(Dyckman St-bound 1 line icon trains skip 207 St.)

2. Between South Ferry and 96 St and via the 3 line icon between 96 St and 148 St.
(1 line icon trains skip 145 St in both directions.)

Getting Around

Take A line icon trains and free shuttle buses

  • Transfer between the 1 line icon (to and from the Bronx) and the A line icon at Dyckman St via free shuttle buses.
  • Transfer between the 1 line icon (to and from South Ferry) and the A line icon at 59 St-Columbus Circle.
  • For 1 line icon stations in Washington Heights, Harlem, and the Upper West Side, use nearby A line icon stations
    along Ft Washington Av, St Nicholas Av, and Central Park West instead, and/or take free shuttle buses
    available at 1 line icon stations.
  • Transfer between free shuttle buses and trains at Dyckman St 1 line icon and A line icon, 168 St A line icon, and 96 St 1 line icon.

Bus Icon Free shuttle buses operate on three routes:

  1. Along Broadway between the 96 St 1 line icon and 168 StA line icon stations, making stops at 103 St, Cathedral Pkwy (110 St), 116 St, 125 St, 137 St, 145 St, and 157 St.
  2. Along St Nicholas Av between the 168 St A line icon and the 191 St 1 line icon stations stopping at 181 St.
  3. Dyckman St loop between A line icon and 1 line icon stations.
