101 Glass, on Broadway between 101st and 102nd street, is moving to 896 Amsterdam Avenue between 103rd and 104th streets. A crafts and home decor store called Eve & Nico is set to open in its place. Eve & Nico appears to have recently launched a Facebook page: “Eve and Nico crafts are a newly found enterprise that showcases the unseen beauty of Africa through African crafts and art influenced by culture, history and environment.” Thanks to Celeste for the tip and photos.
Wink, the women’s clothing store on Columbus between 68th and 69th, has announced it’s moving. But Rebecca Frey, who was in there recently, says they’re “probably not” staying in the neighborhood.
There’s construction going on in the former home of Banana Republic at 86th street and Broadway but it’s not clear what’s going in there. Banana Republic reopened across the street in the former home of Gap. Thanks to Ruby and Kenneth for the tips.
