MICHELIN PICKS THREE BEST ‘VALUE’ RESTAURANTS ON THE UWS

The fancy-pants food reviewers at Michelin spent some time slumming it this year, and found three local “value” restaurants that they think are worth checking out. They call these restaurants “Bib Gourmand.”

“Defined as ‘Inspectors’ Favorites for Good Value,’ Bib Gourmand restaurants offer two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for $40 or less (tax and gratuity not included), and are often of most value to a city’s residents, who regularly dine in neighborhood restaurants.”

Drumroll please…The three winning restaurants are:

Gennaro Italian Restaurant, the classic Italian Mediterranean spot at 665 Amsterdam Avenue (between 92nd and 93rd street)

Miss Mamie’s Spoonbread Too, the Southern food favorite at 366 West 110th street (between Columbus and Manhattan Avenue).

Sura, the Thai restaurant at 2656 Broadway (between 101st and 102nd).

Our primary goal is to create a safe and respectful space where a broad spectrum of voices can be heard. We welcome diverse viewpoints and encourage readers to engage critically with one another’s ideas, but never at the expense of civility. Disagreement is expected—even encouraged—but it must be expressed with care and consideration. Comments that take cheap shots, escalate conflict, or veer into ideological warfare detract from the constructive spirit we aim to cultivate. I do frequent 2 of the 3, so Michelin must be right.
