FASHION WEEK BRINGS FANCY PEOPLE AND FOOD DEALS

“You people should have to pay just to look at us.” Photo by Denton Taylor.

Upper West Siders have very mixed feelings about Fashion Week, which takes place twice a year in a massive tent at Damrosch Park in Lincoln Center. Some local residents have even taken the city to court over the environmental disruptions and other problems it causes. But other people like the glitz, and the money that all these fashionistas bring in.

Anyway, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week starts today, and along with it come some deals at fancy local restaurants that normally charge you an arm and a leg. For the next week, however, they will merely be charging you an arm. Check out some of the participating restaurants below.

Fashionistas eat?

I don’t get NYFW. I mean don’t most NYers dress fashionably everyday as if they’re in a runway? Having a NYFW is like having a McDonald’s cholesterol week. A Podunk Fashion Week, or Siberia Fashion Week, or Zenith Fashion Week… would make sense.

And you think this comment is all about you, don’t you?
