Come learn about them at the Central Park Conservancy’s Annual On A Wing Festival. Get up close and personal with birds of prey as they fly under your arms in the Tunnel of Talons. Meet other feather friends that have been rescued by the Wild Bird Fund and take in all the spring migration activity on a bird walk with NYC Audubon Society where you’ll learn all about birds making their spring journey as well as those which call Central Park home year round. Learn about all types of insects, including Monarchs which make their migration through the Park every year, with the Long Island Aquarium and Exhibit Center, and don’t forget to stop by the craft table to make all sorts of winged things! Departs from Belvedere Castle Terrace (mid-Park at 79th St). FREE.
11 a.m. (or thereabouts)
