“Goddard Riverside’s Bernie Wohl Center will be the host site for a 1000-coat giveaway on Thursday, February 7 from noon until 2 p.m. The event is sponsored by Kars4Kids, a nonprofit car donation organization that provides a variety of services for underprivileged youth. Kars4Kids has hosted coat giveaways in various cities across the United States through their Koats4Kids program, and is making its second stop in New York City after a recent distribution to Hurricane Sandy victims. Volunteers and staff will distribute free, unused winter coats to children from the upper west side and Harlem neighborhoods.

For a moment there i thought it said “1,000 Goats” … maybe because of the reference to “kids” and ………errr……
Also, since these Goat-coats are coming from the Goddard Riverside’s Bernie Wohl Center, it is safe to assume that the kids will be toasty warm, as these are obviously ……………. (wait 4 it!) ……….
