A shooting on 71st Street and Amsterdam Avenue near PS 199 just as school was letting out on Tuesday spooked parents at the school. No one was injured, and Donwin Baldwin, an 18-year-old from West 138th Street, was arrested. “For the next couple of weeks around the time of school dismissals, police are placing a fixed post in the area where the incident occurred,” a website about school safety said. Not that it’s a big deal, but that far south it’s no longer Riverside Park; it’s Hudson River Park. Riverside Park South extends only to 59th Street.
