13-YEAR-OLD UPPER WEST SIDE GIRL REPORTED MISSING (UPDATE 1/13: SHE RETURNED)

Joannie Galindez, a 13-year-old girl who lives on 102nd Street and Amsterdam Avenue, was reported missing on Wednesday night and still had not been found as of late Thursday afternoon, the NYPD tells us.

Update: The girl returned home, an NYPD spokesman said on Friday morning.

The info from NYPD on Galindez is below, including who to contact if you know anything:

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the following missing person who was last seen on Wednesday, January 11th, 2011 at approximately 2245 hours in side of 865 Amsterdam Avenue, within the confines of the 24th precinct.

Missing:

Joannie Galindez

865 Amsterdam Avenue

Apt 9G

NY,NY

The missing is described as a F/H/13 years old, approximately 5’2″ tall, 90-95 lbs, light complexion, curly brown hair, brown eyes, slim build.

The missing was last seen wearing a grey sweater, black vest with white squares, blue jeans and black boots.

Anyone with information in regards to this missing is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to CRIMES (274637), then enter TIP577.
