There is allegedly going to be snow today. As much as you want to, do not try to go sledding, unless you have really good health insurance.

If you do one thing outside this weekend…

The pumpkin festival in Central Park on Saturday is free, and it will make your girlfriend/children love you. If you don’t have a girlfriend or children, don’t go.

If you do one thing inside this weekend…

Check out a crypt crawl at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, or see that new movie Margin Call. It will make the complete collapse of our economy seem edgy and cool.

For more great local events, check out our weekly calendar.

If you’re traveling…

Check traffic info at traffic.com for delays. As for the subway, the MTA has a map detailing all of the weekend changes.

Please limit comments to 150 words and keep them civil and relevant to the article at hand. Comments are closed after six days. Our primary goal is to create a safe and respectful space where a broad spectrum of voices can be heard. We welcome diverse viewpoints and encourage readers to engage critically with one another’s ideas, but never at the expense of civility. Disagreement is expected—even encouraged—but it must be expressed with care and consideration. Comments that take cheap shots, escalate conflict, or veer into ideological warfare detract from the constructive spirit we aim to cultivate.
