September 27, 2011 Weather: Afternoon Thunderstorms, High of 76 Degrees.

Notices:
New exhibits at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine (The Value of Water) and Lincoln Center (THINK) attempt to educate and inspire people about the world around them. Both look like they’re worth checking out (if you’d like to write something for us about them, let us know).

News:
Upper West Sider Christopher Adames was fatally stabbed outside  a Chelsea nightclub early in the morning on Monday, possibly after getting into an argument with another man over a woman. Adames had been at the Juliet Supperclub with lots of celebrities, including LeBron James and Jermaine Dupri. Adames, a 23-year-old security guard with a passion for art, lived on 108th Street and Central Park West with his girlfriend and 5-year-old daughter. (NY Post)

The final tower in the massive Columbus Square development opened to renters last week. Curbed took a peek inside. (Curbed)

Danny Meyer won a contract to provide the food for all of marathon-related  events, which will take place at Tavern on the Green. (Crain’s)
