WAS THE UWS APPLE STORE THE VICTIM OF A DRIVE-BY?

Fans of the Upper West Side Apple store on 67th Street and Broadway awoke on Sunday to find that their beloved iEmporium had two small holes in the glass — holes that looked like they had been caused by bullets, Racked reported. Police put up barricades around the damage, which was near the southeast corner of the store, but they wouldn’t confirm whether the store had in fact been fired upon. The cracks around the glass had that familiar cobwebbed pattern that bullet holes leave on such ripped-from-the-headlines dramas as Law & Order. But Upper West Siders, who are all intimately familiar with drive-by bullet holes, were quite convinced the store was the victim of an apparent 10-10 (that’s “possible crime” to you rookies).

Earlier last week, news broke that the same Apple store had been sued for racial discrimination.
