Selena Gomez and Steve Martin Comedy Films on Central Park West

A comedy series from Hulu that’s expected to be released next year was filming on Thursday on Central Park West and 74th Street, according to Jason Haber, who snapped the photo above. “Only Murders in the Building” stars Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short. Hulu released a short synopsis.

“In 2021 comes Hulu’s newest original series – starring Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. The untitled comedy surrounds three strangers who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a murder occurs in their NYC apartment building, they are forced to work together to figure out what happened.”

Steve Martin was on set, and he sent out a selfie on Thursday:

Gomez (left) is executive producing the project. It’s not yet clear what building they may use for the show — perhaps they were only shooting exteriors on Thursday. But if someone knows, reveal it in the comments please!

Central Park West is getting some serious star power lately — Denzel Washington was spotted filming there just a few days ago.

Steve, I notice your glasses are fogging up. Try putting a piece of medical cloth tape across the top of your mask to create a tight seal. It works!

Niki:

Where does the medical cloth tape attach to? Your mask and your face?

Yes, the tape is attached to the mask and your face, under the eyes.

Put your glasses over your mask and they won’t fog up. Best to have a fitted mask with nose piece you can contour to your nose.

There now are eyeglasses created to defeat fog
caused by mask wearing. The lenses are treated
during manufacturing so they’ll respond to
being wiped with a cloth that accompanies the
glasses, before you leave your house. The effect lasts about 8 hours. You
must have new lenses, that are specially treated during the manufacturing stage; can’t “add” the process to existing lenses. Robert Marc on Columbus is making them available currently.
