A tree next to a construction site on 100th Street and Riverside Drive came tumbling down, falling across the avenue and smashing into a car on the other side of the Street.
Traffic was closed between 97th and 104th Street while crews worked to remove it.
So many huge, beautiful trees falling in Riverside park these days. I’m wondering if they are suffering in health—it seems like every time there’s a storm a few of them go. And now one falls without any storm.
So little pollution now thanks to the pandemic. The trees want to die happy.
Wow, that’s crazy. I run right by the same spot almost every other day.
Hope nobody was in the Porta Potty
I didn’t hear it.
Most clev-ahhh!
You obviously were thinking of the great philosophical conundrum, “If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?”
Google that phrase or just enter it verbatim into your browser’s search bar…it will provide endless hours of down-the-rabbit-hole material to keep oneself occupied during this stay-home era.
I have enjoyed reading the information you have posted about some useful tree removal services. Really these are more useful and also helpful. I am very glad to go through your informative article. Thanks for sharing a nice blog.
If a tree falls in the city and there’s no one left to hear it does it still make a sound?
If a private citizen did construction and it caused a tree collapse with no wind or rain, they would be in big terrible. But this was caused by Parks Department construction which has been abandoned since March due to pandemic, no one will pay. No summons issued.
It’s wrong to cut roots of trees that have taken years to grow. Trees give shelter and comfort to many people.
Is the company cutting down the trees in our park the same company that is condemning the trees to be cut down? It seems that this is a case of one hand washing the other.
