An event in Riverside Park on Saturday will showcase poetry, sculpture and music as part of what its organizer calls a queer arts festival.
Viewfinding is a project from artist Sarah Brook, who describes it like this: “Alternative Pride at Viewfinding: a multidisciplinary queer arts festival centering intersectional and typically underrepresented queer artists and voices from POC, Indigenous, trans and immigrant queer communities.”
The event will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. in the park just south of the 66th Street plaza.
Brook’s sculpture includes poetry from 26 queer poets on a bench at the center.
